The Why

The Oasis will be a community of peace, healing, and restoration for patients with Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome, a mold-related illness.

The broader residential community will provide individuals and families lifelong access to a home free from environmental toxins and to the community resources and amenities that support wholeness, health, and healing at the Oasis. Together, these communities will share a common bond toward health.

Our Goals

Vision

Our Goals

The Oasis will help those suffering from long term effects of CIRS to identify, manage, and reverse the symptoms of mold-related illness. Patients at The Oasis will be surrounded by environments and resources that support healthy lifestyle choices.

The Oasis and the surrounding neighborhood development will also serve as a center of hope for the broader community of Roswell, NM, by providing a hub for economic opportunity, jobs, workforce training, access to fresh, healthy food and a residential community centered on health, wellness, and freedom from illness.

Mission

The How

The Oasis will provide a new model of care (medical vacation) by immersing the patient in a safe, holistic, health- centered resort setting where they will have access to treatments, surroundings, and resources to help them realize peace and health.

The community will include state of the art construction techniques (SIRE wall construction) that guarantees mold free casitas and clinic space, wellness services such as massage, spa, and other ancillary medical services, organic, whole food grown primarily on site, and outdoor amenities to encourage healthy activity and living.

The campus will provide for the full range of services to support total health – spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically – for all residents of the community.

Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS)

Understanding

Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS)

CIRS illness, which is always triggered by mold exposure in the environment, is a multi-system inflammatory response, with a chronic prevalence, and abnormal biomarkers.

CIRS illness presents symptoms such as sinus infections, chronic fatigue, headaches, malaise, muscle pain, light sensitivity, difficulty concentrating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, confusion, and other symptoms that are often misdiagnosed.

CIRS is completely preventable.

Outlining the Scope of the Problem

  • It is estimated that 6-10 million children in the US have CIRS related illness.

  • More than 50% of the buildings in the US have water damage according to the EPA.

  • There is a 7.6% to 12.7% CIRS prevalence in pediatric populations in the US.

  • It is estimated that 25% of the population has a predisposition to illness from biotoxins, such a mold exposure – that is 20 million children (18 and under) in the US alone.

Creating Wholeness for Patients

The Treatment

Creating Wholeness for Patients

A team of global experts in medicine, CIRS, nutrition, naturopathy and more will be assembled to create an integrated, holistic plan of care for each patient.

The care experience, which serves as the foundation of the medical vacation, will vary in length based on the patient severity of illness.

The community and care experience has been designed to remove the patient from environmental toxins and allergens so they can heal using the proven Shoemaker Protocol.

Education and access to a full library of global resources empower the patient to continue to walk in health after their stay.
